The Relevance of AI for Teaching & Learning
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a buzz word that pops up regularly in discussions regarding digital transformation in education. This is because it offers more than just interpretation of data. It offers personalised experience in day-to-day life – from phones recognising faces, and tracking our journeys to social media powered by algorithms. AI is already part of student lives on and off campus.
Over and above the everyday offerings of AI, it offers potential benefits through tools that provide feedback to students in an automated and responsive way. Real-time feedback on assessments and assignments. Tools could provide personalised learning experiences and pathways from adjusting curricula and materials to assessments based on each student’s academic performance and needs.

Gradescope’s AI benefits both instructors & students
While Gradescope doesn’t replace the grading process, it simplifies the process. Through digitising rubrics, it cuts grading time in half. Gradescope then lets instructors grade question-by-question instead of student by student.
